ARMSTRONG COUNTY, Texas (KFDA) - Crews are responding to a downed power line in Armstrong County.

According to the Armstrong County Sheriff’s Office, an oversized load caught on a power line near the intersection of Highway 207 and FM 1151.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area as crews are working to keep people off the downed line and away from the broken poles and downed transformer.

Xcel Energy is also on the scene.

Power is out in Claude at this time. Xcel is working to restore power.
