A collision involving two cars and a horse on Oahu’s North Shore resulted in the transport of three patients to the hospital.
The incident occurred at about 7 p.m. Wednesday on Farrington Highway near the Dillingham Ranch polo field, according to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services.
EMS responded with multiple units to treat three patients — a 16-year-old girl who was on the horse when it was hit by a vehicle; a 48-year-old woman in the vehicle that hit the horse; and a 23-year-old woman who was in the vehicle that hit the horse.
All three were taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Sources say the horse was badly injured in the collision and had to be euthanized.
