Vagrant’s space heater likely cause of fire on Longley, Reno Fire says

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Reno Fire Department say the space heater belonging to a homeless person is the likely cause of a fire on Longley Lane.

Reno Fire says the unidentified person had been seen hanging around the area.

They say the person broke into the business on 5570 Longley Lane and was using a small space heater, which ignited some of their belongings inside the building.

Crews were able to quickly knock down the fire, which they say appeared to have been burning for several hours before being reported.

The person responsible fled the scene and was not located.

No injuries were reported.
