MADISON, Neb. (KTIV) - Carrie Jones is the wife of Jason Jones, the man convicted of killing four people in the Northeast Nebraska community of Laurel.

Carrie was charged in connection with those murders and has now received a verdict for her three charges:

First-degree murder - guilty

Tampering with evidence - guilty

Accessory to a felony - guilty

Her murder charge comes from the role prosecutors say she played in the shooting death of Gene Twiford in August 2022 at his home in Laurel. Prosecutors say she encouraged her husband, Jason, to carry out Twiford’s murder.
