Federal immigration raids continue to sweep across the Southland, with recent operations leading to multiple arrests and sparking political mobilization.

On Wednesday, federal agents conducted an immigration raid at a Los Angeles Home Depot parking lot using a Penske rental truck, resulting in 16 arrests. This operation, dubbed "Trojan Horse," is part of a broader crackdown during the "Summer of Resistance."

Penske stated that they strictly prohibit the transportation of people in the cargo area of their vehicles and were unaware that their trucks were used in the operation.

The Department of Homeland Security indicated the raid was in response to MS-13 gang activity in the area, although KTLA has not confirmed this claim.
