HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - When Andy Kaucic graduated from college in Wisconsin, he wasn’t exactly sure what to do next. That uncertainty led to an extraordinary journey: walking across the United States from Maine to California.

He began the trek about five months ago and hopes to reach San Diego by mid- to late November.

Kaucic passed through Hastings on Wednesday, stopping at the Hastings Museum and Small Town Famous. He told Local4 that he’s walking to raise funds and awareness for a cause close to his heart.

He also promotes on social media that he is walking through Nebraska “with no music or podcasts.”
