PEORIA COUNTY ( 25News Now ) - A man allegedly riding a stolen motorcycle was caught by Peoria County Sheriff’s deputies after the bike ran out of gas.

The sheriff’s office said a motorcycle with no registration was seen on Harmon Highway Wednesday night.

The rider took off and deputies gave chase.

It didn’t last long, however, because the bike ran out of gas at Harmon Highway and Airport Road.

The man, identified as 26-year-old Donald Shaw of Galva, was arrested on preliminary charges of fleeing and eluding, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony warrants.
