SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- San Francisco's watchdog advocate for safe streets is taking aim at the city after reporting that the 11th victim of the year died Wednesday, days after being struck by a vehicle.
Walk SF said that it was notified by San Francisco police that the August 2 collision involving the 83-year-old pedestrian occurred near Ocean and Lee avenues. Walk SF said the area has been an ongoing problematic intersection for traffic crashes.
"Ocean Avenue at Lee is on the city’s 2022 'high-injury network' map: the 12% of streets where 68% of traffic crashes occur," said Walk SF in a Thursday news release. "There have been five other fatal traffic crashes along Ocean Avenue since the beginning of 2015. Three of the five crashes involved pedestrians. There have been 16 other traffic
