LEWISTON, Idaho – A 58-year-old man from Sequim, Washington, was arrested on Wednesday for reportedly firing a handgun out of his truck while driving from Washington to Idaho, according to Idaho State Police (ISP).
The incident began in Whitman County, Washington, where the driver was reported firing a gun from his GMC Sierra pickup. ISP stated that the driver also fired a shot at a Washington State Patrol trooper before entering Idaho.
ISP received a 911 call about the driver behaving "erratically" on U.S. Highway 95 in Lewiston. The caller reported the driver waving a handgun through the sunroof and firing at their car near Lewiston Hill.
ISP troopers located and arrested the suspect in Lewiston after a "high-risk" traffic stop. He was booked into Nez Perce County Jail and faces charg
