APEX, N.C. (WNCN) — Apex resident and 62-year-old athlete Pamela DeLoatch recently competed at the 2025 National Senior Games presented by Humana in Des Moines, Iowa.

Pamela took 5th place in the women's doubles pickleball competition, and was chosen from over 12,000 athletes to be one of just ten 2025 Humana Game Changers.

"I think a lot of people think 'am I too old?,' but you're not. I think at any point you can start doing something and I think you need to start with something you really enjoy," said Pamela DeLoatch.

It is a national recognition of an athlete who exemplifies healthy aging and provides encouragement, motivation and inspiration for all seniors to live healthy lifestyles.
