LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A suspended fraternity is coming back to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Phi Gamma Delta will reestablish its chapter at UNL in the fall semester, according to its website .

The fraternity, also known as Fiji, was suspended by the university in 2021 after a sexual assault allegation.

The UNL Police Department investigated a report of a rape at the frat house .

No criminal charges were brought, but the allegation sparked multiple nights of protests on campus.

The international organization of Phi Gamma Delta issued its own suspension of the UNL chapter, finding it guilty of violations related to alcohol and social events.

Fiji said on-campus recruitment will start this month.
