LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A new school year for JCPS means working out all of the kinks with transportation.

JCPS leadership said bus drop-off was complete around 6:30 Thursday night, earlier than last year.

They said some pick-up and drop-off lines for car riders were long, but there were no major problems.

WAVE talked with a few parents, with some saying the process was smooth, and others hoping that tomorrow will be better.

“What we saw today was really normal first-day issues,” said Rob Folk, chief operations officer for JCPS.

Some of those issues included kids being left at bus stops or dropped off at the wrong place.

One mother, Tatyana, who did not want to disclose her last name, said her daughter’s drop-off Thursday morning went well, but she was dropped off at another school
