SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Amidst the arguments at Wednesday night’s Sioux Falls City Council meeting over Operation: Prairie Thunder, there was also some opposition against a new ordinance .

The proposed ordinance had its first reading before the city council, but while there are many steps to go before becoming local law, there were many early opponents in the crowd.

The city believes the ordinance, which would strictly prohibit certain structures in public places, will be proactive and ensure no one falls through the cracks. Opponents believe it will make issues in the city worse.
