TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Leon County Schools is putting boots on the ground as they two-step into the new school year!

In a brand-new music video featuring a remix of “Boots on the Ground,” principals and administration from across the district came together to welcome students and staff back ahead of the first day of classes.

The video features school leaders dancing and lip-syncing in cowboy hats as they wrangle up excitement for a new school year.

The vocals come from a familiar voice in the Tallahassee community, Dickie Hosford, a retired Raa Middle School educator and longtime local musician. Hosford also sang on the district’s previous viral hit, Old Town Road!
