BRISTOL, Va. (WJHL) — Cumberland Square Park recognized Bristol, Virginia's finest and most intelligent dogs at its Bark in the Park event Thursday.
Contests included best trick, largest breed, smallest breed, best dressed, sit and speak, most hair, and most unusual.
There was also a contest for every dog's favorite activity: the peanut butter licking challenge. Organizer Rebecca Crawford said this nutty part of the day is her favorite.
"The peanut butter lick is adorable, and it's so much fun because the dogs are so excited and so happy to eat peanut butter."
In addition to naming the best-looking canine, there were also exhibition competitions for pet-friendly services, rescue groups, mascots, and demonstrations.
