SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – The U.S. Navy's Meteorology and Oceanography team visited kids at the Sanford Children's Hospital this week.

"We forecast for all of the U.S. naval assets through the Pacific and Indian Ocean, providing ships specific forecasts along their tracks," U.S. Navy Sailor Helene Taylor said.

But Thursday, the crew had one main focus: to make families at the hospital smile.

"We brought some navy swag to hand out to make sure that they can have a little fun, a little memorabilia here. Make sure they remember us, that we were here," Taylor said.

15-year-old Ephraim Katz told KELOLAND News the visit was exciting.
