HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) - As Henderson County students continue the new school term, parents have to learn a new traffic pattern.

The roundabout on Second Street opened ahead of the school year. It's part of a project to upgrade Highway 41 to meet interstate standards to serve as the future I-69.

School officials say they've given parents plenty of heads up about the change.

"We've shared messages on social media, communication systems, and I think really parents just really appreciated us keep them informed letting them up to date with what was new with our new traffic patterns and construction," said Megan Mortis with HCS.
