SIOUX CITY (KTIV) -

TODAYS OUTLOOK:

Friday is going to be hot and humid with breezy winds from the southeast.

Daytime highs are expected to be in the 80s and 90s with heat index values in the 100s.

It will be hotter than yesterday afternoon and evening.

Since it will be hotter out, the National Weather Service has put all of Siouxland under a Heat Advisory until 8 PM.

TONIGHTS OUTLOOK:

Friday night will be another mild one as overnight lows fall into the 60s and low 70s.

The big story tonight will be the chance of thunderstorms that could be severe.

The Storm Prediction Center has put much of Siouxland under a marginal risk of severe weather for the overnight hours.

The main severe weather threat will be hail and gusty winds.
