NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Construction crews are scheduled to begin work on Interstate 24 at Haywood Lane in Antioch on Friday night, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.

TDOT will close three eastbound lanes for bridge repair work.

Construction crews will begin their work at 8 p.m. Friday, August 8 and are expected to complete their work by 5 a.m. Sunday, August 10.

The scheduled work is part of an ongoing resurfacing project covering I-24 from Haywood Lane to the Rutherford County line.

TDOT has reminded drivers to allow additional time, slow down, and move over when traveling through a work zone.
