ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Jennings Station Road is shut down in both directions after a car crashed into a vacant home and caught fire overnight in north St. Louis County.

According to police, the call came out around 4:45 a.m. A vehicle lost control and hit the front porch of a vacant home. The vehicle then burst into flames.

Crews on scene found the occupants of the vehicle had fled the scene.

The impact of the crash caused a fuel leak and fire, but the fire did not extend into the vacant home.

Jennings Station Road at Greyling was temporarily shut down in both directions.
