The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that a construction project to improve safety along a section of Vine Street in Center City, Philadelphia, will begin on Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, through Friday, Jan. 16, 2026.
From 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., there will be a periodic lane closure on weekdays on Vine Street in both directions at the intersection with Broad Street.

The construction is part of a $8.5 million project that will implement several pedestrian and cyclist improvements along the busy stretch of road.
