Central Pennsylvania residents can expect a pleasant and mild weekend, with temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s, followed by increasing heat and humidity early next week.

The National Weather Service forecast says a high-pressure system will bring clear skies and comfortable conditions through Saturday, with daytime temperatures slightly below normal.

Morning fog and low clouds may develop in valley areas, particularly in northern and central Pennsylvania, but should burn off quickly after sunrise.

Overnight temperatures will drop into the 50s, with some higher elevation areas potentially seeing upper 40s. Light southeast winds and minimal cloud cover will create ideal conditions for outdoor activities.

Light haze from wildfire smoke is possible.
