It’s been a cooler-than-average start to August, but things will heat up over the next couple of days. High temperatures will reach the mid-80s on Friday with just a couple of patchy afternoon clouds. Skies will remain mostly clear overnight, giving us a nice view of the full moon.

It will stay dry for any outdoor weekend plans. Mostly sunny skies are expected on Saturday with temperatures jumping into the upper 80s. Sunday will be the warmer of the two days with highs potentially reaching 90 degrees in some spots.

A heat wave is possible early next week with high temperatures in the low 90s on Monday and Tuesday as well. Humidity will increase on both of those days, leading to a pair of hot and humid afternoons.
