RUTHERFORD CO., Tenn. (WSMV) - Shelbyville Highway has been shut down following a deadly pedestrian crash near Christiana Friday morning.

The highway was closed between Richmonds Retreat and Walnut Grove Road, according to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.

RUCO said the closure may impact students at Christiana Middle School and Christiana Elementary School. The highway will remain closed for an ‘unknown time.’
