WINONA, Minn. – An injured person was rescued Thursday night near a rock climbing location.

The Winona Fire Department says it responded around 11 pm to an individual with and ankle injury near Sugar Loaf Rock. Firefighters and Winona Area Ambulance Service reached the injured person within 25 minutes.

The injured person was brought down to a waiting ambulance and taken to the hospital with what are described as minor injuries.
