Residents of Southern Manitoba woke up to thunderstorms Friday morning.
At 5 am, Kean Kokolsky with Environment Canada says a line of thunderstorms was tracking along the international border, with the most severe storms in North Dakota.
"But that's going to give way to severe weather threats this afternoon once again," says Kokolsky.
As of 7 am, Manitoba Agriculture reported Clearwater as having received the highest rain total in Manitoba with 34.4 millimetres (mm). Steinbach was sitting at 19.5 mm.
He notes the southeast corner of Manitoba will most likely see the worst of it in the late afternoon and evening. This includes Pinawa, Steinbach, and the Whiteshell region.
