SWEETWATER, Tenn. (WVLT) - A fugitive was arrested after being found hiding under a home in Sweetwater, TN on Wednesday, Monroe County Sheriff Tommy Jones said.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office helped the U.S. Marshals in the successful arrest of Michael Blackwell, who was hiding under a residence on Old Highway 68 in Sweetwater, Jones said.

In a Facebook post, Jones said “Working alongside our federal partners, our deputies provided critical support in locating and safely taking the suspect into custody.”
