KOCHVILLE TWP, MI – Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has appointed two new members of the Saginaw Valley State University Board of Control.
In a Thursday, Aug. 7, news release, Whitmer announced the appointments of Shaun Johnson of DeWitt and Dr. Debasish Mridha of Saginaw. They replace Lindsay Eggerts and Joann Crary, respectively, both of whom had expiring terms on the board.
“We are pleased that two individuals with considerable knowledge of our university have agreed to accept this vital volunteer leadership role,” SVSU President George Grant Jr. said in a statement. “We appreciate these appointments by Gov. Whitmer, and we look forward to working with them to advance the important work SVSU is doing on behalf of our students and throughout the communities we serve.”
