High Pressure Brings a Quiet Friday

As we wrap up the week, a high pressure drifting in from the west will set the stage for another pleasant day across central and eastern Kentucky. Expect a mix of sunshine and a few fair-weather clouds, with highs climbing into the upper 80s to around 90°. While most of us stay dry, we could see very isolated afternoon shower or storm chances in some areas. If you happen to be under one, it could briefly drop some heavy rain. Humidity levels will be noticeable at times—enough to remind you it’s still August—but nothing close to the oppressive air we battled in late July. If you’re outdoors for long stretches, pace yourself and stay hydrated.
