KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Board of Trustees of United Way of Greater Kansas City announced Thursday that Chris Rosson will be departing from his role as chief executive officer (CEO).
Rosson joined the organization in 2021. The board said he spearheaded a brand refresh and modernization, as well as a partnership with the Kansas City Current professional women's soccer team. He also helped established the KC Strong fund, which provided support for the victims of the shooting following the 2024 KC Super Bowl parade rally.
FOX4 launched an investigation in May 2024 after people started asking: Where is the money? By June 2024, donations started rolling out.
"It has been my honor to serve the United Way and the greater Kansas City region over the past four years," Rosson said in a news release
