LOGAN SQUARE — Every day since June 5, Angel Santiago has stood in front of Tony’s Fresh Market in Logan Square, a green dog collar hanging around his neck, holding the same flyer and reciting the same speech to shoppers: “Missing dog. Please take a flyer and help me find Bam Bam.”

Santiago, 58, who is legally blind and has glaucoma and Type 2 diabetes, is on a desperate search to find Bam Bam, his beloved 14-year-old dachshund. The dog was stolen from his backyard near Fullerton and Monticello avenues June 5 while in the yard on a potty break, Santiago said.

Bam Bam — named after the Flintstones character — is Santiago’s emotional support and service dog who has been with his family for 13 years. Santiago is asking anyone who might have seen his best friend to call him at 773-501-8354 o
