GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Iconic Grand Rapids restaurant The Green Well will be closing for good as its parent company shifts its priorities to other restaurants.

The Green Well is owned by Essence Restaurant Group (ERG), which will be rebranding as Essence Hospitality Group (EHG) moving forward.

The restaurant dishes out American cuisine and cocktails with a creative twist. The Green Well is also a neighborhood favorite for brunch.

It will close its doors for the final time on Saturday, Aug. 16.

EHG officials say they will be focusing on their other three ventures: Bistro Bella Vita, a downtown Grand Rapids staple known for its French and Italian cuisine; Lucy's, a popular brunch spot in the Creston neighborhood; and Grove, which was recently named the #3 farm-to-table restaurant in the U
