(WJW) — Hundreds of 14k gold mini heart bracelets, necklaces, and stud earrings are being recalled over concerns that they may contain excess levels of cadmium, which the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission warns can be toxic if ingested by young children and may cause adverse health effects through long-term skin exposure.
The recall applies to Monica Vinader jewelry sold online and at Nordstrom retail stores between Nov. 26, 2024, and May 2025. The jewelry pieces sold for between $250 and $350 each, according to CPSC.
"At Monica Vinader, our commitment to exceptional quality and safety is at the core of everything we do. Out of an abundance of caution, we are voluntarily initiating a recall of certain products," states the company's website.
