PHOENIX (AZFamily) — As extreme heat takes over the Valley, bus issues are reaching the boiling point for parents with the Roosevelt School District.
“It’s really frustrating,” said Brandy Eaton, a parent with the district.
At the end of the previous school year, the Roosevelt School Board voted to close five schools , including Bush Elementary. This was the school that Eaton’s kids attended. Her kids went from attending a school down the road to Campbell Elementary.
“It’s about 24 blocks, about a 10-minute drive. It’s maybe 10 to 12 minutes on the bus,” she explained.
While it may not seem like that far, Eaton says the bus has become unpredictable, leaving her kids out in the elements waiting.
