OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office deputies have arrested a Georgia man in Destin on multiple child sex abuse charges.
According to OCSO officials, Jeremy David Smith was vacationing in Destin on Aug. 6 when he began chatting with someone he thought was a 14-year-old boy, but was an undercover deputy.
Officials said they were able to locate where Smith was staying and arrest him.
Smith is charged with using a computer to solicit a child for sexual activity, attempted production of child pornography, and use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.
