HORRY COUNTY, S.C. —
Two South Carolina women were arrested after they got more than $25,000 in insurance money for a crash that never happened, according to arrest warrants.
Unique Shavon Johnson, 29, and Jamela Janae Jolly, 33, are charged with presenting a false claim for an insurance payment.
An arrest warrant says the women claimed they were in a car that was hit from behind in Myrtle Beach. The women said it was a hit-and-run and they were both injured.
They filed an insurance claim and received $25,567, the warrant said.
Both have been booked into the Horry County Detention Center.
