Evergreen Golf Course’s Keys on the Green restaurant is unlikely to open this golf season, and may not reopen until next spring, a city spokesperson said.
The city had chosen a new operator to run it for 2025, and had expected it to open near the start of this year’s golfing season.
“It did not work out with the concessionaire we selected,” said Scott Rethlake, director of golf for the City and County of Denver, who said it was disappointing. “We have moved on and we’re going back to RFPs (requests for proposal), soliciting for someone new.
“Our process takes a while. My guess is it won’t be awarded until late this year. So I would say it would not open before the end of the golf season.”
Rethlake said it would be up to the next operator to decide whether to open after the season.
