The Clermont Police Department hosted the 1 st Annual Teen Summit on Thursday, July 31st at the City Center of Clermont. The evening safety-based summit was structured in a way to inform young teens of the many dangers that lurk and hide behind the screens of the online world that most people live in today.

Clermont Police Detective Susannah Wray, a sex crimes investigator, led the way in introducing safety tips and state statutes that are intended to not only protect underage youth but also help keep parents, educators and other custodial adults informed of their child’s online activities.
