PIERRE, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The South Dakota Supreme Court’s Commission on Parenting Time guidelines will hold three public hearings in the coming weeks.

These hearings will be to gather input on potential changes to the standard parenting time guidelines, mainly involving child custody and visitation issues.

Discussions during the hearings will be exclusive to the potential changes to the time guidelines, and no other matter is expected to be brought up.

The Commission convenes every four years, with the Parenting Time Guidelines last reviewed in 2021. You can view the current guidelines here .

Everyone is invited to attend the hearings in Aberdeen, Sioux Falls, or Rapid City in person or on Zoom.
