Edmonton hosted the ceremony for having Deputy Commissioner Trevor Daroux assume command of the Alberta RCMP from Deputy Commissioner Rob Hill.

Deputy Commissioner Daroux is in his 37th year of policing, having served as a Deputy Chief with the Calgary Police and serving with the RCMP. He was appointed as a 27th Commanding Officer of the Alberta RCMP this year.

Daroux started with the Alberta RCMP in 2017 as the Director General of National Crime Prevention and Indigenous Policing after leaving his post in the Calgary Police Service.

Throughout his career, Deputy Commissioner Daroux has held many operational, investigative and administrative roles.
