Two new Publix locations are set to open in September in Louisville.

Publix at Marshall Commons, 10005 Ballardsville Road, will open Sept. 3. Later that week, Publix at Flat Rock, 150 Flat Rock Road, will open Sept. 6.

Both stores, located in far eastern Jefferson County, open to customers at 7 a.m.

The nearly 56,000-square-foot Marshall Commons location and the approximately 48,000-square-foot Flat Rock location will both have an adjacent Publix Liquors. Each store should employ around 140 people.

Publix entered the Kentucky market with the opening of a 56,000-square-foot store and adjacent 3,200-square-foot Publix Liquors in January 2024 at 2500 Terra Crossing Blvd. in eastern Jefferson County.
