CLEVELAND (WJW) -- FOX 8's own Wayne Dawson is receiving hall of fame honors.
Dawson is one of seven people to be inducted into the National Association of Black Journalists hall of fame during a ceremony at the association's 50th annual convention, happening now at Cleveland's Huntington Convention Center.
"Each year, NABJ pays homage to legendary Black journalists, authors, educators, and activists who have made outstanding contributions to both their industry and the worldwide Black community over the course of their careers," reads a news release.
Dawson and fellow FOX 8 News anchor Jazmin Bailey spent time helping future journalists find their voice at a coaching event during the convention.
