NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — As we enter the Dog Days of Summer, multiple Middle Tennessee communities are gathering to take in the days of longer daylight.

Several communities will play host to special summer festivals and events this weekend, including Nashville. Here are a few we found happening Aug. 8-10.

Tomato Art Fest

The 22nd annual Tomato Art Fest will officially kick off Friday night, Aug. 8, in the Five Points neighborhood of East Nashville. The two-day event celebrates all things tomato, from artwork inspired by the berry, costumes with nods to the nightshade, a parade, and plenty of recipes featuring the official fruit of Tennessee.
