A local animal rescue is making an urgent plea for help after saving a group of abandoned dogs earlier today.
Cheshire Abbey Rescue says they received a call this morning about several neglected dogs in a neighborhood where, according to the rescue, “people see them daily and do nothing.” With no available shelter space, mounting veterinary bills, and no clear plan, the founder says she couldn’t leave the animals behind.
“The thought of them out there made me physically ill,” she said. “If any of them ended up in the wrong hands, I couldn’t live with myself—so I went and got them.”
