BOWIE COUNTY, Texas (KSLA) - A construction worker is dead after a wreck on I-30 involving an 18-wheeler.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says on Thursday, Aug. 7 around 1 p.m., deputies responded to the major wreck, which happened at Mile Marker 190 west of New Boston.

Preliminary details show Braden Tucker, 21, was operating a Kubota skid steer and was trying to cross the interstate after working on the guardrails in the median when he was hit by an 18-wheeler that was headed east.
Tucker was thrown from the skid steer. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
The case is still being looked into. No other info is currently available.
