HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A death investigation is underway after a pedestrian was hit by multiple vehicles on the East Freeway, according to Harris County deputies.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office said a person was in the third main lane when a commercial motor vehicle was driving west.
Investigators said the vehicle hit the pedestrian, causing them to fall onto the roadway.
The driver didn't stop and continued driving, and the pedestrian was hit by multiple vehicles, according to the sheriff's office.
When deputies arrived, they said the person was pronounced dead at the scene due to their injuries.
