NATCHITOCHES, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — It’s that time of year again when Natchitoches residents now have the opportunity to nominate someone for the 2025 Natchitoches Treasures.

This recognition award honors residents of retirement age who have made a positive impact in the community. This Treasures program has been recognizing people since 2008. The program is part of the city of Natchitoches' efforts to honor its history and celebrate the people within the community. Individuals who wish to submit nominations are encouraged to nominate deserving candidates.

In 2024, six honorees were celebrated for their dedication and contributions. Roy Ceaser, Robert Gaillan, Harlan Guidry, Gayle Howell, Syll-Young Olson, and Jack & Brenda Ingram.
