Detroit — Tigers fans haven’t had a chance to see Mike Trout much in recent years. And, compared to the damage he’s done in other ballparks over the years, he’s been relatively quiet in the 30 games he’s played at Comerica Park.
But there will be a lot of eyes on him this weekend. He and the Los Angeles Angels came to town Friday hunting a milestone. He’s two away from 400 home runs.
“I look forward to when it happens,” Trout told MLB.com’s Rhett Bollinger. “It should be pretty cool.”
He slugged No. 398 on Wednesday against Tampa Bay, it was his 20th homer this season — his first 20-homer season since 2022.
Trout last hit a homer at Comerica Park in 2018, off reliever Warwick Saupold on May 28.
