WHITESTOWN, Ind. — South Dakota will head to the Little League World Series for the second season in a row and fourth time in the last eight years after beating North Dakota 6-0 on Friday in the Midwest Regional.
In the ESPN televised game, South Dakota starter Murphy Seefelt went six innings, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out six.
North Dakota was vying for its first trip to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, since 2023.
"Super proud of our boys and they have nothing to hang their head about," North Dakota head coach Hans Anderson said. "They played the game the right way and were proud to represent their family, Fargo and North Dakota. They worked their tails off all season and did everything we asked of them and more."
