The Rotary Club of Newnan is welcoming Gabriela Gomezese Rugeles of Colombia as its 2025-26 Georgia Rotary Student Program (GRSP) scholar.

Gomezese Rugeles arrived in Georgia on July 31 to begin a year of cultural exchange, academic growth and Rotary fellowship.

She will attend the University of West Georgia in Carrollton this fall, where she plans to immerse herself in campus life while sharing her Colombian heritage and representing Rotary values.

At 18, Gomezese Rugeles has already built a strong record of leadership and service. In high school, she co-founded an Interact Club through her mother’s Rotary connections.
